Fun activities including Face Painting, Balloon modelling, Arts & Crafts, Mini ride on ‘steam’ Railway, handmade games, hot breakfast and refreshments by Watford North Scouts, Community Rail stalls, special photo booth to capture moments from the day, live music and the launch of this years’ Abbeyline Days Out Passport and Christmas in St Albans by Community Rail for a special prize.
9.30am – Event opens
Face painting, hot food provided by Watford North Scouts on sale, game activities by P. Templeman from Oaklands College, festive stalls open, balloon modeling with Random Mike, photo booth to capture your memories and rides on the mini railway by North London Society of Engineers.

There’s lots of festive activities this Christmas in St Albans and we encourage you to travel down by train. Enjoy a 10% discount at both Verulamium museum & St Albans Museum + Gallery café and gift shops when you visit and show your train ticket. Travel to the event *: Nearest station is Bricket Wood station and the centre is a five minute walk. Please check our website, social media pages, National Rail and London North Western Railway websites for any changes in train services that weekend as train times or services may change.

Price: Entry to the event grounds is free. A train ticket valid for 7th December 2019 will be needed for entry to the grotto. As under 5’s travel free they will be covered by the adult’s ticket. A nominal fee of £3 per child is payable if guests do not have a train ticket. Please note a nominal fee will apply for some activities.
Event information and FAQ – Please read carefully
- There is no parking at the centre for the event so Please travel by train. Kids under 5 travel free with every full paying adult. Tickets can be purchased via www.nationalrail.com, http://www.londonnorthwesternrailway.com and at your local station ticket vending machines.
- The event is all based at the St Stephen Parish Centre Bricket Wood. A five minute walk from Bricket Wood Station. There will be no festive activities or decorations on the Abbey Line train service.
- Sorry only guide dogs will be allowed at the Event Ground.
