Park Street Recreation Ground & Play Area

The children’s play area is located at the railway bridge end of the Park Street Recreation Ground. The play area is fenced off within the open space, with the entrance from the footpath across the field. There is a small car park at the entrance to the Recreation Ground on Park Street Lane.

Within the play area there are:

  • Two sets of swings
  • Two junior multi-play activity centres, one with slide
  • Miram sliding unit
  • Spring see-saw
  • Spring bike
  • Multispinner roundabout

*Dogs are not permitted in the fenced play area.

A range of adult outdoor fitness equipment is located adjacent to the children’s play area.

The Park also has football and cricket pitches, with pavilion and cricket practice nets, which can be hired throughout the year.

Whilst we do permit responsible dog owners to use the Park, please remember that it is a public recreation and sports area and accordingly dogs must be kept under control at all times. Ample bins are provided for the responsible disposal of dog waste.

*Assistance dogs are permitted in play areas, but must be kept under control at all times.
