Bricket Wood

Cllr Wendy Berriman

I have lived in Bricket Wood for more than 50 years and have been a parish councillor for almost two decades.

I am passionate about preserving our sense of community and enjoy organising events on behalf of the Parish that can help bring us together.

I strive to safeguard our play areas; as a mother of five and a grandmother of 11, I really do understand the importance of the improvement and upkeep of these valuable spaces for all generations to enjoy. Our parish is surrounded by beautiful and historical countryside and I am proud to be a part of a council that helps to maintain this.

Cllr David Brannen

Preserving our unique parish, improving its amenities and protecting the green belt from development were the reasons I became a parish councillor and I hope to continue serving the community in this role.

I’ve lived next to Bricket Wood Common for more than 35 years, and have over 40 years experience as a structural surveyor. As such, I’ve taken a lead role in planning and development issues in the parish.

I also sit on the Bricket Wood Common Joint Management Committee which works to protect and maintain this valuable rural space.

Cllr Dorothy Kerry

cllr.d.kerry@ststephen-pc.gov.uk

I joined the Council in 2011, serving three years as Vice Chair and a further three as Chair.

Residents often speak of the ‘village feel’ of the Parish. My priorities have been to build on this, firstly through improving leisure facilities and outside spaces, secondly developing a series of events and activities to enhance our sense of community and finally to challenge inappropriate development, especially that targeted at the Green Belt.

I believe planning for the future is key and I was instrumental in the development of a long term Strategic Plan to help make sure our local needs are prioritised over the coming years and that administrative efficiencies continue to deliver best value for council tax payers.

Cllr Mark Skelton

cllr.m.skelton@ststephen-pc.gov.uk

I have lived in Chiswell Green for more than 21 years. I have previously volunteered locally with the ‘Neighbourhood Plan’ and for five years as a leader at Park Street Scouts.

I am married with two sons and as a family we greatly enjoy living in the Parish. I believe passionately in community spirit and fostering tolerance and shared understanding among our residents. As keen walkers, runners, cyclists, motorcyclists, tennis players and motorists we seem to tick most of the facility user boxes.

I hope to encourage the maintenance and considered development of our Parish facilities for the benefit of all.
